However, immensely cruel methods are often use in the transportation and slaughtering of hens and roosters.
Some remain conscious during the de-feathering process, during which they are submerged in boiling hot water.
Their claws grow long and gnarled and twist into the floor of the wired cages.

Beef produced from cow meat typically occurs in unregistered slaughterhouses.
In 2013, officials reported over 3000 illegal slaughterhouses in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
They are packed so tight that their intestines poke of their rectum.
